10 — Listening Queue (Prioritized)
A ranked queue of BP audio + video records most relevant to Col 1:15-20. Top priority is anything where Tim and Jon work the passage directly; second priority is records that establish the major background themes.
Voilib search: https://voilib.holyspirit.dev/query?q=<phrase> — returns playable timestamps from BP transcripts. Use it to jump to specific moments rather than listening end-to-end.
Full text of all records below already pulled to _raw/records/.
Tier 1 — Must-Listen (work the passage directly)
These three records are where Tim and Jon read Col 1:15-20 line by line.
1. [podcast:firstborn-creation] — "The Firstborn of Creation" (~55 min)
The primary record. Last episode in the Firstborn series. Tim reads the whole hymn aloud, walks both stanzas, makes the Athenagoras-at-the-pub move on "all things hold together," explains image and firstborn parallelism, and lands on adoption (Rom 8). If you only listen to one thing, this is it.
Voilib search anchors:
- "firstborn over all creation status not origin"
- "image of the invisible God parallel firstborn"
- "Athenagoras platonist all reality held together" (Tim's imaginative scene around Col 1:17)
- "fiery glory cloud dwells in the temple fullness" (the 1:19 gloss)
Local copy: _raw/records/podcast__firstborn-creation.md
2. [podcast:theme-god-e18-who-did-paul-think-jesus-was] — "Who Did Paul Think Jesus Was?" (~38 min)
Paul's "messianic Shema" (1 Cor 8:6) → Col 1 Christology. Tim works Col 1:15-20 explicitly, names visible/invisible thrones, frames fullness as tabernacle language, and ends with "there's no way to truly explain this poem. You just sit with it."
Voilib search anchors:
- "messianic Shema 1 Corinthians 8 split Yahweh"
- "Visible and invisible thrones dominions correspond"
- "tabernacle language fullness Ezekiel human figure throne"

3. [youtube:pXTXlDxQsvc] = [video:colossians] — BP Colossians overview video (~9 min)
Short video that names the hymn's two-stanza structure, the Colossian "false teaching" pressure, and the Christological landing. Show this to your congregation if you want them to enter the passage with the same frame BP uses.

Tier 2 — Strong Supporting Records (for specific themes)
Sustainer / "holds together" thread
[podcast:chaos-and-cosmos-astronaut-interview] — Tracy Caldwell Dyson interview. Cites Tim's "every single moment to keep creation from collapsing on itself" (Adam-to-Noah Session 5 @ ~23:47). Connects directly to your existing passages/caldwell_dyson_astronaut_letter.md. High value for the Col 1:17 angle.
Voilib: "every single moment keep creation from collapsing"
[podcast:walking-talking-apocalypse] — chesed sustaining cosmic order; "humans are an apocalypse — animate icons" line. Pairs image-of-God with apocalyptic.
Voilib: "animate icons window heavenly reality" | "loyal love keeps creation knit together"
Adam-to-Noah Classroom Session 5 — link: https://bibleproject.com/classroom/adam-to-noah/sessions/5 (~23 min mark) — Tim's source line on sustaining-against-collapse. Not in local corpus but the astronaut record cites it directly.
Image of God thread
[podcast:can-i-get-witness] — image as embodied representation, humans as embodied witnesses.
Voilib: "image of God embodied representation creator"
[podcast:priests-of-eden] — theophoric, mediating divine presence. Ground for Col 1:15.
[podcast:priest-heaven-and-earth] — Tim's wax-stamp metaphor for image; divine-and-human one in person.
Voilib: "wax stamp image impression" (rough match; try "physical embodiment divine presence")
Firstborn thread
[podcast:plague-firstborn] — Israel as firstborn by election (Ex 4:22). The Hebrew Bible foundation BP says Paul is leaning on.
[podcast:gods-response-human-power-structures] — firstborn as power-and-authority theme. Names Col 1:15 directly.
[podcast:firstborn-question-and-response] — Q&R on firstborn theme; Lady Wisdom + John 1 + Genesis 1 self-interpretation.
[podcast:seizing-vs-receiving-power] — firstborn as power received vs. seized.
Wisdom / Logos / John 1 background (for "through him all things")

[podcast:why-are-there-4-gospels] — Jesus in Lady Wisdom slot.
Apocalyptic Pauline
[podcast:apocalypse-please] — apocalyptic = unveiling, not end-of-world. Foundation for the apocalyptic frame.
[podcast:does-bible-predict-end-world] + [youtube:c3_XU_BDbD0] — cosmic vs. personal apocalypse; Paul uses apokalypsis in Eph 1.
[podcast:jewish-apocalyptic-imagination] — apocalyptic genre baseline.

- BP Classroom Royal Priest series — image-of-God and royal-priestly vocation.
- BP Classroom Image of God / Sons of God material — divine council + image vocation.
- BP video w7iB2atlRZY "The Last Will Be First" — firstborn theme video.
- BP videos Spiritual Beings series — angels/powers cosmology.
- BP video Apocalyptic Literature (in How to Read the Bible series).
Voilib search craft tips
For the user holyspirit.dev/voilib instance:
- Use multi-word phrases that approximate Tim's actual phrasing — "image of the invisible God" will hit cleaner than "Christology of Colossians."
- For Greek/Hebrew lexemes, drop the diacritics: search "prototokos" not "prōtotokos."
- Search negation + alternative when possible — Tim often makes a contrast move like "not chronology but status."
- For ancient-context material, search the specific cultural reference, not the abstraction — "Pharaoh image of Re" will hit Middleton's quote in BP material.
Examples that will likely yield useful timestamps:
"firstborn over all creation status not origin""in him all things hold together rationale cosmos""fiery glory cloud temple fullness""pre-incarnate image humans were image of""thrones dominions Roman state principalities""reconcile all things heaven and earth peace blood cross""every single moment keep creation collapsing""wisdom personified Proverbs 8 John 1"
